Carolina Beach Fishing Report
September 10, 2026Fishing around Carolina Beach has been a little mixed this week, but there are still some excellent opportunities on the water.
Nearshore Spanish Mackerel
Spanish mackerel fishing has been excellent. The nearshore bite has been producing some great action and is definitely one of the best options right now for anglers looking for steady action closer to the beach.
Reef Fishing
Reef fishing has been slower, but there are still some quality fish being caught.
We’re seeing flounder and some nice grey trout, along with some overslot red drum mixed in.
It may not be nonstop action right now, but there are still some good fish to be found if you know where to look.
Offshore Trolling
Offshore trolling has been slower than we’d like, but we’re expecting things to improve as we move into the coming month.
Conditions and water temperatures will continue to change, and we’re looking forward to seeing this fishery pick up.
Offshore Bottom Fishing
Bottom fishing has been excellent.
We’re seeing a good mix of:
- Grunts
- Black sea bass
- Grouper
- Snapper
For anglers looking for a variety of fish and plenty of action, offshore bottom fishing continues to be one of our strongest options.
🎣 The Bottom Line
Right now, Spanish mackerel and offshore bottom fishing are the standouts, while reef fishing continues to produce quality fish and offshore trolling should improve as we move into the coming month.
Every week on the water is a little different. That’s part of fishing Carolina Beach.
